A supply-chain services company will invest $10 million in its Pulaski County facility, adding 25 jobs and marking its second expansion in four years, the governor’s office said Thursday.

The Patton Logistics Group, based in Milton, Pennsylvania, provides services including warehousing, distribution and transportation. It employs 1,000 people with operations in Pennsylvania, Ohio, New Jersey, Virginia and North Carolina.

In 2020, the company built a 250,000-square-foot logistics center in the New River Valley Commerce Park in Pulaski County. In 2021, it added 100,000 square feet and a new trucking operations and maintenance center.

It will now add a new 100,000-square-foot distribution and warehousing facility on 20 acres in the commerce park to expand its customer base across the Southeast, according to a news release from Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s office.

“What started out in 2020 as a speculative real estate investment and a potential expansion of our logistics company into southwest Virginia has turned into a significant supply chain solution for many of our clients,” Patton President Steve Patton said in the news release.

Youngkin approved a $100,000 state grant to help Pulaski County with the project. State and local officials worked with Virginia’s First Regional Industrial Facility Authority, which owns the commerce park, and the Onward New River Valley regional economic development organization to compete against Maryland, North Carolina and Pennsylvania.

“The Patton Logistics Group’s expansion in Pulaski County underscores the Commonwealth’s advantage in helping companies scale distribution and reach key markets efficiently, thanks to strong collaboration with our regional and local partners,” Secretary of Commerce and Trade Juan Pablo Segura said in the release.
